For Amazon UK sellers who source in shops
Buy, Maybe or Skip, before you reach the till.
Scan a barcode on the shelf. ShelfJudge finds the product on Amazon UK, takes off Amazon's own fees and VAT the way you're registered, and tells you whether it's worth buying, why, and the most to pay.
ShelfJudge is in a private trial, by invitation. Write to hello@shelfjudge.com to hear when it opens.

How it works
Scan or type
A barcode, an ASIN or a product name, with the shelf price in the same box. A discount like "−20%" works too.
The sums
A cautious sale price, Amazon's own fee estimate for FBA or FBM, Royal Mail postage if you post it yourself, VAT the way you're registered, and your cost.
The verdict
Buy, Maybe or Skip, the reason in one line, and the most you can pay and still make your return. Change the price and it re-works the sums straight away.
What it checks
A price that won't flatter you
The lower of today's price and the price it sat at or below a quarter of the time over 90 days, so a short spike can't make a bad buy look good.
Whether it's gated
Listing restrictions, checked with Amazon on every scan. A restricted product is a Skip, whatever the margin.
Who you're up against
How many sellers have won the Buy Box over six months, including Amazon itself, and how many new offers there are now.
How fast it sells
Amazon's "bought in the past month", sales signals from rank drops, and, on a tap, how many days one more unit would take, counting the stock ahead of yours.
Restock opportunities
A listing out of stock for 3 to 60 days that still shows sales signals is flagged, with how long it's been out and the price range it had over 90 days.
No match? Keep going
Search by name, pick the right listing when a barcode has several, or check the same barcode on Amazon in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the US.
